I am having the worst stress headaches lately. Feels like knives are piercing my head. Do you ever have these and what makes them go away?

Chinese massage might help. There is a special point in TCM that is quite effective for stress headaches which is called "Taiyang". Press and knead it as hard as you can bear for around ten minutes.

I really dislike having headaches. Migraines are the worst. If it's a headache, Tylenols usually help, but with migraines, the only thing that really helps is sleep. I only get two types of headaches, a normal headache or a hunger headache.

Hi moneymommy and smile. yes i get this kind of headache too. I will tell you how to relax and get rid of that headache so you will be all smile throughout the day. First of all, ask yourself " did i drink enough water today?". If yes, then good, but if no, then start drinking more because headache is always the first sign of dehydration. Double the water intake in case the weather is hot because of heat. Second, "did you wear your eyeglass? or been in front of pc all day?. Its good to blink those eyes or close eyes for every 30 minutes so they can relax a bit. Third, are you having problems with your sleeping last night?, stress at work? or personal problems. You cam combat headache just by meditating and relaxing. Massage your temples gently and stretch face muscles, smile 3 times and raise eyebrows 3 times too. Massage it till it feels good. happy mylotting and smile always!

Yes I get a lot of headaches now a days. Whenever I am under stress, even a little bit of it I have a terrible headache. Until and unless I take some medicine it does not go away. Actually I am unable to take much stress as it affects my health. But with my four year old kid around I hardly get a stress free day now a days. He is a totally mama's boy. So for every little thing I have to be there for him. No one else can do anything for him. So by the time the day ends I get totally exhausted and this leads to headaches sometimes.

Aspirin, naproxen, Advil or even Tylenol - I guess - can help, but the only real cure is to get away from the stressful situation. A neck massage, cold or warm (depending on the person) compress can also help and rest.

yeah, tylenol doesn't do a thing for me - when I went to the hospital last summer with my gall bladder - actually, I went for a headache - they were going to give me tylenol, and I told them they might as well give me a sugar pill, it'd do more - so they stepped it right up to major pain meds

yeah. I lot. What I did is that I tend to sleep them of but if I cant sleep I just look on green colors and listen to harmonious mild music and then I felt better after that.
