Juan Manuel Marquez is one of the best boxers I've ever seen. The only boxer that Manny Pacquiao faced whom he had a very hard time fighting with. However, his upcoming fight is probably his biggest fight ever. Floyd Mayweather Jr. is too quick and really a sure hitter. He's the former pound-for-pound king. I have seen fight and his speed is remarkable. Now, it's really tough to say that Marquez would beat Mayweather. Though, Marquez is also an accurate counter puncher. I'm sure it's going to be one of the most exciting boxing event for this year. I think it will go for the scorecard but a close one for Mayweather.

I think Marquez has a great chance of defeating Mayweather if he sticks to his camp's game plan i.e. to attack the latter with a lot of combinations. Mayweather can only handle 3-4 consecutive punches at a given time and he will have a hard time counterpunching Marquez. Besides, if Mayweather decides to engage Marquez that will be his undoing as the latter is one of the best counterpuncher in boxing.

It is a counter-puncher versus a runner and dodger. Juan Manuel Marquez being the counter puncher while Floyd Mayweather being the runner and dodger. Juan Manuel Marquez likes to counter punch but how can he counter if Floyd Mayweather is running and avoiding. I think this is a boring fight and it will go the distance. I can see Floyd Mayweather winning by decision. Welcome to myLot!

I believe the guy who'll control the first two rounds will win. Both are great fighters and I think it will go the distance and be decided by the scorecards.
Since both are counter punchers you'll see a lot of running from the guy who'll control the early rounds. We will not see a knockdown in this fight. A lot of boo's can be heard from the sidelines.

Marquez will give Floyd Mayweather a run for his money. Marquez is a very tough fighter. He pushed Manny Pacquiao to the limits during their 2 mega-buck fights. But I believe that Floyd Jr's speed and power (if it's still there) will prevail. Marquez has a chance but Mayweather should be the favorite in this fight. I hope Floyd will win and then he'll fight Pacquiao.

I think so. Mayweather will win this fight. He knows how to defend very well. That's why he's known as "Pretty Boy" as he knows how to cover his face very well with his elbows and arms. I haven't seen him fight with so much bruises in his face. I hope his being inactive from boxing for over a year will not collect a toll from him. If he can be as the same Mayweather who fought Ricky Hatton and Oscar dela Hoya, I think Marquez will have no match for him.

This fight may be closer than most people think.Aggressive hard nose style fighters have given Floyd problems in the past.Remember Jose Luis Castillo? He gave Floyd all he could handle.I personally thought Castillo won the fight.I think Castillo and Marquez are very similar fighters.Marquez being a tougher version of Castillo. If Mayweather underestimates him,I can see Marquez pulling of the upset. However having said that,Mayweather wins this by decision, too much speed.Speed kills!
