How can people keep disappearing in the Bermuda Triangle?

I don't understand why people keep disappearing over the Bermuda Triangle. How can people fly over the Bermuda Triangle and just disappear? There are also speculations of missing crew members on abandoned ships. I read once a flight disappeared over the Triangle, and the Navy sent out a search plane to attempt to find it. The search plane disappeared as well. People that board abandoned ships have even found meals that were being cooked or meals that were set up in on the dinner table, but it wasn't touched. I can never get a hold of why this happens.
