I'm like 7 months pregnant, I know I have to eat but my eating is beyond acceptable. When I visited my doctor, she told me that I gained 5 kilos in 1 month and it isn't normal. Sometimes being broke just make things easy right?(laughs).

Hi! How about eating fresh fruits every time you crave for food at this stage? This way you won't gain a lot even if you eat a lot. I hope you will be careful with what you eat because, you might have a hard time carrying your baby when you reach your term. This is just a motherly advice. I've gone through this stage when my cravings increased when I reached my 7th month, but I had been chided and told to control yourself, not only by my doctor but also my mom, my aunts and cousins. Also, when you gain weight when you are pregnant you are at a risk of getting stretch marks, now that would be a problem after you give birth , and there is no cure for stretch marks.

Hey gingerale! Thanks for the advice. Actually that's what I'm trying to do now, fresh fruits are always good, good for the baby and for me too. Stretch marks, hate them, but can't do anything about it anymore, it runs in the family. Do you have any idea how I can manage to erase it or make it vanish somehow?(cries) I would really want to wear 2 piece again..please help me...

Hi! I did try that, it's Jergens I think. I've had like two bottles of those and It didn't work for me(sad), it's a bit expensive but I had to try it but again it didn't work I don't know if it will to other skin types. I just stopped buying all those lotions that says they will make your stretch mark vanish just like that. I'm still hopeful though. Thanks again. Happy mylotting!

That's quite unfortunate because I have it myself. Not because, I was overweight when I was pregnant. I was too thin before I had got pregnant and my doctor told me that I lack zinc, my skin was not that elastic, that's why I had stretch marks even if my tummy wasn't that big. It's so unfair because my sis and my mom! don't have it. huh! I've read somewhere there's a cocoa butter cream that minimizes stretch marks. It's being sold at Watson's. I just forgot the name. I haven't bought any yet because it's not within my budget. Why don't you try it? Regards!

Hmmmm - 5 kilos in 1 month is too dangerous - and that too in the third trimester. I gained about 5-6 in a matter of 3 months and the doctor adviced me not to have too much of oily or calory rich food. Ask you doctor about the diet pattern you should follow and also tell her/him about your craving for foods (which is really common). I think that should solve the problem.
And ofcourse don't forget to exercise regulalrly but make sure you get the approval of your gynic first :)

Be careful, poor habits while you are pregnant will hurt you after you have your baby. You won't have the time or energy to exercise or worry about what you are eating. The best way to lose weight and become healthy after having a baby is to stay fit and eat healthy during pregnancy. Form good habits before it's too late!
