I don't like brussel sprouts either. Growing up I heard many people saying how much they hated brussel sprouts. As I liked most vegetables I actually asked my mother if I could try some. So the next time we went supermarket shopping she asked me if I was sure and we brought some. That night my mother cooked them and she was quite apprehensive as she had never tried them and had also heard negative comments about their distinctive taste. I tasted them with an open mind actually hoping to like them, but alas I didn't and have never eaten them since.

I find they have a taste of their own. Ive tasted nothing like it before in my life. I find them so bitter. Actually now that I think about it! Tamarillos is another thing that has a horrible taste. Yuck... Mind you I think Tamarillos go under the fruit catagory not the vegetable. But oh well. Its what Brussel Sprouts remind me of..lol

Hi shazz, how can you not love brussels sprouts? Maybe you've had the sad soggy excuse that passes for a brussels sprout, not admissable. Maybe you've had them boiled into a soggy mush producing green water and washed out sprouts. Not admissable. However a fresh tender brussels sprout, outer leaf removed, careful cross put in the stem part to ensure perfect cooking as they are simmered for no more than 6 minutes produces the perfect vegetable. Admissable to my plate any day. And cooked like this it took nothing to persuade my child how scrummy they are.

I love brussel sprouts!!! They are great. Sometimes I just eat a big bowl of them for a meal by themselves! I think they are great, like a bunch of little cabbages! My son never liked them. He called them "bussel spouts" when he was little!

I love them, either with a roast dinner or on their own mashed up with butter and a sprinkle of pepper. There is not a veg that I dont like, I think I will eat them all.

LOVE 'em! They definitely get my vote. They use to be my special little treat that I got to have all to myself until my kids got curious and tasted them (even with me insisting that they were "yucky"); now I have to share...is there no end to the unjustness of having you kids bleed you dry? LOL!! The little buggers love broccoli, cauliflower and even asparagus! Is there no end to my suffering? Have I not clothe them, feed them, cared for them; must they eat my veggies too?
Yup, I do love brussel sprouts.

I love them, you dont often see them in supermarkets here apart from around christmas time.
I would happily eat them with my sunday lunch each week if i could get hold of them, not too keen on the frozen variety.
