I really prefer McAfee. I use dell laptop with vista. Its great and very good in comparing others esp for windows vista. I am using this for a period of time and it is very effective comparing to other antivius.

Hi,
Well I have been using Kaspersky Internet Security 2009 for over 1 year now and I can finally say that it outperformed Norton Internet Security 2009 and AVG and Live OneCare. Try it one day! Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

Eset nod is very good.
It don't affect performance at all.
Once my comp was infected with virus and I installed it and scanned the whole hard drive.Found all the virus(which was not detected by AVG,my initial one)

i can't answer which is the best antivirus soft clearly, because there are kinds of security softs in specially kill virus, kill trojan, anti spyware and anti arp, flood,DoS,DDoS attack, virus are always evolving, even if the strongest antivirus, it will not always anti evolved virus, frankly, i am using avira(it is very small and flexible), it doesn't occupy much memory, i also use Qihoo 360 security anti trojan, arp, spyware and USB virus, and skynet firewall anti flood DoS DDoS, all three softs work in my computer, they don't occupy memory heavily.

I'm not completely sure if it's available for Vista, but I'd check out AVG antivirus, they have a free version that is pretty good and not as annoying as nortan or mcafree.
