I regret watching "the Haunting in Connecticut"

Okay, I admit that I am a big baby. Horror flicks are really not my thing. Anyway, I watched "The Haunting in Connecticut" the other day with my friends. At first it was really okay and actually quite interesting... but then when I got home I kept remembering all the gory images in the film. The freaky thing too is that the movie was somehow based on a real story! Eeeks. Anyway, my question is: do you like watching scary movies? and What is the scariest film that you have seen?

My uncle was talking about this movie the other day. His friend had told him that he watched it and it even freaked him out. I used to watch scary movies all the time when I was younger. As I get older I don't really care to watch them as often for some reason. I guess I just don't like being scared as much as I used to. LOL And it would freak me out I'm sure if I knew what I was watching was based on a true story.

You were so brave to watch that movie, I saw the trailer and I have to admit it was creepy adding to that it was a true story. Can you imagine if you are on that house and you feel all the ghostly thingy. That would frighten me up.

I love watching scary movies, so long as they're well-made and not cheesy. I thought The Haunting in Connecticut was all right. I had watched the episode of A Haunting that chronicled the real-life family's story, so I knew the backdrop for the movie.
The scariest film I have ever seen is Session 9. It's just creepy. It's not like there is a ton of gore, but it's so eerie. It was filmed on-location at what was once Danvers State Hospital, which really contributed to the movie's overall atmosphere. The film's creators admitted that the story is partially fictional, partially based on real events.

Love Love Love Horror Flicks! Some, the cheesier the better. Haunting in Connecticut wasn't bad, a lot like Amityvile Horror. I can watch them all day. I am so not a chick flick person. My husband HATES them and would rather watch an old western, which I can't stand. To each there own. Scariest one I have ever seen and the only one to give me nightmares is Stephen Kings IT.

I am SO not into the scary gory movies. A psychological thriller is okay as long as it stays pretty mellow. I'm the biggest chicken in my circle of friends and have seen some of the worst movies in the past couple of years than I have my whole life. LOL.

I cry at sad or poignant movies and cover my eyes at gory ones. Scary ones, I just turn off, or if other people are watching, then I walk out. I will not fill my mind with that stuff. The scariest movie I ever watched was Psycho (1960) and I STILL refuse to take a shower without going around first and locking all the doors and windows:

The scariest book I ever read was Truman Capote's In Cold Blood. That was truly a nasty crime, made worse by the fact that it really happened.

I dont like scary movies. I'm a wimp!!!!!!! BUT, I SOOOO want to see the Haunting in CT because I live in Mass & CT is just down the road from us. They had a segment on the radio one time and people called in with their experiences with the haunting and it intrigued me. I heard that the movie was WAYYYYY too gory, but a friend of mine loaned it to me and I'm going to watch it. In the BROAD DAY LIGHT wiht my husband next to me for protection LOL...

I like classic scary movies, generally those from the late 70s and 80s. I will watch modern ones but usually get bored by the lack of tension or suspense and I get really fed up of movies which just rely on gore to try and scare you.
For me the best scary movie is the original Halloween as it is such a tense movie which always scares me when something unexpected happens. Plus because when they made it visual horror was not really popular it allows you to let your own imagine to run wild and often scare yourself with what your mind thinks is happening.

I love to watch horror movies. Once I even went to watch one alone because all my friends were busy. As I walked in the parking lot (it was a midnight movie), and drove my way home, I kept thinking about all the scary scenes and got goosebumps.
I love to watch horror film because I want to know what makes them do whatever they were doing, there's always an explanation at the end. It makes me go "owh..."
I think the scariest movie I have seen was our very own local movie "Jangan Pandang Belakang" or don't look/turn back in English. That was the one that I went and watched alone. It was scary because it really could happened in real life.

I like watching horror films, but I have to be in the mood for them. I have wanted to see "The Haunting In Connecticut", but I haven't watched it yet. One of the things that made me want to see it is that it is supposed to be based on an actual event. I watched "Rose Red" by Stephen King, and that was based on a real story, too. Other people I talked to thought that "Rose Red" was scary, but I really liked it, so hopefully I will like this one as well.
I'm not sure which horror movie that I've watched was the scariest. I actually prefer scary to gory. There were a few, though, that gave me nightmares after I watched them. One of these was "The Shining", because although it wasn't gory, Jack Nicholson was really convincing in his role.

I love watching scary movies...most of the time. We watched that movie here at home last week, and about half-way through it, I asked my husband to get up and turn the lights back on! I think that the scariest of scary movies are the ones that are based on facts. The Strangers, Amityville Horror, An American Haunting, and Haunting in Connecticut are all based on actual events, so is Texas Chainsaw Massacre! Of all of these, The Strangers and Haunting in Connecticut are the two that scared me the most.

I love scary movies! Especially if they are the psychologically kind of horror, where they somehow creeps into your very mind. Of course, sometimes I can watch more gory movies as well, but I generally don't like them too much, it seems like there's just blood and no real story. I don't really know which movie I've seen that is the scariest one, but ever since I saw "Village of the Damned", I've been afraid of children. And I remember getting really scared when I watched "Poltertgeist", but that might be because I was only five or something at the time. If I had to choose, "The Shining" is probably the most scary movie I've ever seen, since it is psychological - and have a pair of scary twins in it.

I absolutely LOVE horror films!! It's a toss-up between The Exorcist (The old one) and Mothman Prophecies for the scariest movie I've ever seen. I've seen some pretty scary movies, but those are the ones that come to mind. I'm not one for cutting off body parts, stabbing, etc. etc... that's not scary, it's just gross! I love suspense!!
