Looks like thats what I have to do. I have hit some really bad times and I am trying to sell everything in my house to raise money. Would you sell everything you own? Have you ever had to sell everything you own?

That would be a last resort for me. U need your furniture & things. I believe u have mentioned having antique glassware, i would sell it but don't give it away. U let on to people about your bad situation & they will take advantage of u. Can u not get any kind of help??

If I was in need of paying bills and simply needed money to exist, I would except for a couple of items. I have two very precious pieces of furniture that were my mother's. Those two items will always remain with me. Would be really nice if there was a legitimate site, such as myLot, where many of us members could earn a nice living each month without investing. I've tried writing sites and it's just a little too confusing to figure out their ways to submit articles.

I dont know if I would sell everything... but most of everything sure... as it is I had tried a yard sale back a couple months ago and it was a bad time I guess because it was truly very slow that weekend... I am planning to have one again still this summer but the weekends have not worked out so well... maybe in a couple more weeks I can. It is so sad to hear that you are doing bad right now, but you have to keep your chin up and remember that you never know what tomorrow will bring and things will get better. I know things are tight for us, and to make it worse hubby got hurt on his job this week, since he is independent we will be hit pretty hard by this... plus the doctors bills... but I know that down the line things will eventually get back on track and one day we will be able to look back and laugh!!

I am thinking of selling my restaurant utensil which has been kept in the store for ages. I have closed my restaurant few years back and have lots of used item in my store. I am also in bad shape and living on very little money. I cannot afford to spend lavishly now as the economic situation is not improving and am thinking of disposing my landed property too if I am forced to rather then ending up hungry.

I figure its better to sell what you have then to go hungry or not have a place to stay.

Until I lost everything to hurricanes and tornadoes I thought I couldn't part with the things I had but I learned that they are just material things that can eventually be replaced. Look at your situation as a new beginning, getting rid of the old to make way for the new. I understand how hard it is to part with some things but sometimes we are forced to. I hope you get a fair price for your items and can get your finances in order. Let us know if you are selling on-line and where. Best of luck in the future.

Thank you for your response. This is true people lose all there belongings in Tornadoes and hurricanes. Things can be replaced and I am sure things will get better for us soon.

i have sold a number of things on ebay plus have had several garage sales already this year (i am hoping to make some money for christmas). i have not ever wanted to sell everything i own, but have been downsizing somewhat. i will keep only my very favourite antqiues and things with sentimental value. have you had any garage sales this year? that may help.

Yes I have had a garage sale every weekend. SO far I sold most of my furniture. I still have sooooo much stuff and I need soooo much more money to have a roof over our head. I continue to list on craigslist and hopefully I will make the money I need.

I am fond of many of my possessions so emotionally I would find it too challenging to sell them. My treasures are my travel photos, my costume dolls from around the world, my two antique dolls and my crystals. I adore my laptop and wouldn't ever want to sell it. I hope that your financial situation will improve soon.

I do sell things from time to time. I try to sell things on Craigslist because it is the easiest and has alot of items that are local delivery only. I think it is a good thing to sell things you do not need or want. I guess there are some things that are expendable. I hope you do not have to sell everything that would be sad.

I don't know, as of now i can't think of selling all my things But situation make people do a lot of things that they don't want to. I have never come across a time when i had to sell my things to raise money and i wish that that kind of time dosn't come to you too.

Yes I would sell everything, why not, they are just things and can be replaced when you are in better financial condition. If you get thrown out on the street you can't take it with you so why not sell.

Thats what I think of matters just sell it all. I can always replace the things later on.

That's a big no! lol. I hardly get rid of my belongings. I take good care of my things and I love them all. It would be easy for me to let go of my old clothes, books, or stuffs like that. Things that do not have much value to me because I can buy those anytime. But all the others, like my laptop, cellphone, ipod, bags, shoes, I think I'll never sell them to raise money. I think they already have sentimental value for me and I simply can't sell them. If ever I'll be in a situation needing enough money, I'll better work double time to raise such funds... :)

One of the moves Hubby and I made we sold a lot of our things. We didn't have room to take them with us. It really sucked b/c later we had to re-buy the same things. I wouldn't want to have to go through it again but if I did have to, I guess I would. ~~AT PEACE WITHIN~~ **STAND STRONG IN YOUR BELIEFS**

There was a time our family have to sell most of our appliances to pay accumulated debts and to get us trough a few days. It's a really hard situation. You will be parting with some of the things that you love, things that have sentimental value, things that evoke good memories... But that's life. There are things we don't like to do but we have to just to survive. Anyway, I wish you luck. Hope you got good buyers.
