I keep them in book shelves
most of them are second hand, but I keep them safe from damage because I love reading
I never sell books unless I happened to buy double

Thanks for the topic! I cannot possibly keep all the books I read in my personal library, my dwelling would be a fire hazard. Today, thankfully, books come in many forms besides paper. The paper ones that I truly have enjoyed and might want to read again, I keep Some of them I lend out to others with the request they be returned. Some I give away, and some I sell in yard sales and some I give to charity. I have bought many books from places like the Salvation Army Thrift Shop or Goodwill. I have even donated books I've read to small libraries in small towns. I do remind myself that magazines are a form of book and some of them I dispose of in similar ways, but some hit the trash! Unfortunately, there are no recycle bins for newspapers, magazines or paperbacks in my area or I'd be using them too. Just depends on the time what I do with book I've read!

I used to have books lying around everywhere. I would have them on the shelf, but once in a while, the kids would play with them so they would be left wherever they built a castle or fortress or ramp, etc.
Nowadays I've started buying e-books. The last book I bought was a Marketing book which is just on the iPad.

I always keep the paper books I buy. I have a small room with nothing but bookshelves and this computer I'm typing on. I pretty much only buy how to books or reference in paper form. The books that I read for entertainment I get from the library or are ebooks. The exceptions are a few classics: the Anne of Green Gables series, Little House on the Prairie series, the Chronicles of Narnia, the Harry Potter series and the Chronicles of Amber. Those keep me young. My wife and I read fiction so much that we'd be a candidate for the Clean House series if we kept all those paper versions.

After I finish reading a book, i would just keep them. I have never really made an effort to sell them. sometimes after a while, a year or two, knowing that a book is a very good read, i would re read them and it sure is like reading it for the first time. :D so it is not wasted.

hi joniebee!^^
i seldom buy books because i don't have much space to store them. but i do have a few books and i don't give them away after i'm finished reading them. my friends would borrow them and i would lend it to them. but i don't sell them or give them to charity. i do give them as presents for close friends. like when i had my John grisham books. it turns out that one of my friends like the author and her birthday was fast approaching. i couldn't think of any other gift to give her but the books so i gave some of it to her.

Hi joniebee!
After reading the books that were given to me as gifts or those that I have bought, I keep them in my shelves. Some of the books I already have removed from my bookshelf are stored in boxes. The other books that I think can be disposed already have either been donated or sold.

If the books are good then I will keep them around so I can reread them over again and see if there's any information I missed or maybe there's some techniques or something that I may have missed the first time through. I read a lot of nonfiction books so I take notes and stuff while I'm reading so a lot of my books are pretty important to me. If they aren't all that great then I'll just trade them into a used book stores to get some more information or knowledge for my mind.

I do several things. For the books I like and think are worth rereading (or hanging onto for my children to read) I keep on my bookshelves. For those that were good, but I'm done with and know someone else who might like it, I pass on. But, my trashy romance novels I don't buy new, and I don't know anyone who would like them, and I don't reread them either. So, those I just throw away. I feel horrible throwing books away, but honestly there isn't much more you can do with a book like that and I know it's not good to leave books you will never read again out and about collecting dust.

I can hardly let go of my books. I find it hard to lend it to others or to pass it on. I keep my latest books line up on the floor (I don't have much furniture). I keep the old one in boxes.
I planned to bring or send them to my mother's house back in my hometown. Planned to build a big shelves for them, maybe one that covers a wall in the living hall. Books can be nice decoration you know.

I like to keep my books on a bookshelf that my Mom built for me. My dream is to havea home with a room that I could convert into a library. I love re-reading books so having a place to put my books is always helpful.

I'll admit that I like to hold on to all of my books. I do this to start a collection of books, you know, like my own little personal library. I also re-read some of them years later. I like to buy a lot of self-help books, so when a friend or family member needs some insight, I'd then pass a book on to them that could possibly help them...

Novels, if they belong to me, get passed on to a friend or given to a thrift shop. One library that I used to use had an exchange area for paperbacks. One could exchange a book they had finished reading for another one they had not read. I don't know if they still do that, as I have not been to that library since one was opened nearer to my house.

Hello, I usually keep the books I buy in case I might want to read it again. I will loan if I feel that I know I will get the book back but I won't just give the book away.I don't feel like buying something and never using it again. If that were the case I would buy a book from a used book store instead of a new book store.

Well I'm keeping my Anne Rice collection. I think that I'll probably be reading them again and I'll probably keep some of my Stephen King books too. I really like horror books can you tell?

I am into the romance books, but do have others. The books I have kept from where I was in college I have kept and have been very useful over the years as references. The romance paperbook books I usually trade, sell, or give away. I want people to enjoy the books as much as I have when I read them.

Well Hi!
Interesting. I'm origally from Zimbabwe, and my Dad had a massive library stacked with all kinds of books - from shakespeare to wild westerns (his favs). We never lacked for something to read. When we were forced to leave, all the books went to charity (I hope they found appreciation!). Now I have a supurbly stocked public library within walking distance from me, so my reading needs are taken care of. I must be honest....I haven't bought a book in over 3 years, but I treasure the one I did buy! I love reading. Cannot finish my day properly until I'm tucked up and reading a few pages of a good book.
What do you like to read?
PS. I'm no great speller, but the "Weather" you use is for sun, rain, snow, wind etc. The word/spelling you want is whether, eg "whether or not". Ain't English a funny language? Same sound, two different spellings, and meanings!
