Starting a heart walk in November 2009...

I am starting a heart walk in November for my son who was born with a severe heart defect... it was a good idea for the walk, and everyone seemed to be on board but the turnaround has become a disaster.. no one is joining our team and the minimal donation hasn't even been met. It really embarassing and I don't want to continue to ask the team for there help to make this a great event for a great cause... Any suggestions on how I can get my team on board and make this a success?
