I did not have opportunity to learn to play any instrument in my childhood. But I always had a dream to play the string instrument Veena. My children learnt it and my daughter-in-law is a Veena artist and gives several concerts.
Can you play any instrument? Do you have one with you? What other instruments can you play?

As you can see from my avitar, I play guitar. I have been playing since I was about 11, so that figures out to about 30 years. The one I am playing in the acvitar is my current one, a Jackson Rhoads series v. To date it is my favorite one. I love the neck, it almost melts in my hand. The action is nice and easy. It is well balanced. I love the pick up system, nice crisp sound. I play it through a computer rather than an amp though. I use Native Intrument's "guitar rig" software and pipe directly in to the Pa system, it sounds AMAZING. I have a large variety of virtual amps and effects at my disposal and it offeres great flexability in sound.
I also play bass, keyboards and drums, though not nearly as well.

Too great of you my friend. Guitar is the instrument any youngster would love to play. I love even cello. Can you play that also?

I have never heard of a Veena before, that is so awesome. I have been playing piano since the age of 10 and I continue to play it. I have my grade five at the royal conservatory of music. I also play a bit of guitar and drums. It is even nicer when schools reinforce music as being essential. In my four years of high school I learned to play the tenor saxophone and was part of a concert band and jazz band! I love music, and I think everyone should pick up an instrument.

Veena is a string instrument. Hear the sound of it in internet. I will try to load an image here. You seem to be very musical oriented. Jack of all and master of all also. My wishes to you to come up well and achieve in this music field. In my house all know vocal singing, western singing, many instruments to play. They were even singing for a band but not now. Thanks for the response.

I think everybody should learn how to play at least one instrument. It's such a beautiful skill to have. I've been playing the piano for 10 years, Saxophone for 2, and Trumpet for 5. I would love to learn a string instrument! Perhaps sometime in the future :)

During my childhood, i wanted to learn Veena but due to circumstances that desire stood unfulfilled. Now my son is a ardent lover of Guitar. He can skip his meals, sacrifice his sleep but not his Guitar practice. My husband plays Harmonium. We have one Base guitar, three Lead Guitars with different numbers of strings, and one Harmonium
