Oh my God, earning going slow here

United States
July 29, 2009 3:03pm CST
I log into mylot today, and hope to see my earning would increase in large, quite a disappointment from what I saw. After I clicked on the earnings tab, my yesterday earnings was $0.20 after I posted some 30 postings. What an effort I put into mylot yesterday. A dilemma, should I spend more time in mylot, or I should dedicate more time to other social network to try my luck?

wow really? i get around 26 cents a day and i dont even post a lot! What helps is answering a LOT of them too. like if you post a discussion go back and read them then reply to the other ppl on it. cuz the way i see it is tat it grades you by how many ppl are interested and reply to it and how many things u reply to.

Way to go whoever not back commenting to every respond will earn less amount of money. I think myLot gives big bold underline in the word "interaction" for their earning method, unfortunately not all of us give a damn care about it.

Its not just about quanitity, its also quality. The more answers you get on a post can also affect how much you make. So if you post a ton of topics and only get a couple of answers, versus posting a few topics where you get a TON of answers, youd be making around the same amount of money. So try to think of controversial topics/ or eve general topics that you know alot of people would wanna put their two cents in.

Wow, only .20 for 30 posts. That is alot of work. I have been trying to post a little each day as I only have a limited amount of time to post each day but if I do it each day it adds up a little and closer to my goal and payout. It does take a while though that is for sure and can be frustrating. I try not to focus too much on how much I make but rather on just doing the responses and starting the discussions. I will admit though the closer it is to the payout the more you will pay attention to how much earnings are being made each day. I think you should spend your time where you enjoy the most and I know that is hard to do when trying to earn.

Sorry to hear that disappointment. Are you sure that nothing from those posts have been deleted by Mylot? Or did you post to topics that violated and then the topic was removed, meaning you also got some deductions. But if not, then i guess it was really a snail earner that day. I don't monitor nowadays how many posts or response did I do for the day. I only check Mylot and see the topics to where I can relate and answer those queries by Mylot members. Anyway, better try it again. I hope it will be ok if you give Mylot more time. I have been moonlighting on different sites too but nothing beats Mylot when I do posts my response, i get surprised to see what I earn.

ahh. I see, you know replying to responses on your discussion really could make a lot of difference.. when I was still posting discussion and replying to them, I could easily get 37 cents for like less than 25 posts.. you see they pay you more when you make the discussion longer and interesting. but don't forget that quality is also a key.. don't just say thank you to them.. comment on something they said.

i've been a member here for months and ive still only earned just over a dollar. i dont post a lot but I find it really really slow to make decent money. i always do my surveys first then if i dont have any surveys i do a few posts on here.

if all your responses are this short that is where you are losing money. make responses at least five or six lines long. more meaty responses, comments and discussions make you more money than if you posted twice as much stuff as mylot doesnt even pay for one or two line responses, comments , and discussions, a little more effort on the stuff you do post will do more good moneywise than a lot of very short posts as you get paid for meaty posts notfor a zillion really short ones.hope this helps.

Thanks for that, I've never really been that sure how it works here. I still think that the surveys I do will make me more money in the long run as recently I've had a cheque for $50 and a $20 shopping voucher for surveys I complete in front of the tv. Thanks for your advice tho, it is much appreciated

It is very true that it isnt all about quantity it also has to do alot with quality. Starting discussions, answering them, Rating them and also tasks if you understand them. I at first thought the site wasnt going to be ok but then I loearned that it isnt just the money I wait for I have also made an awesome amount of friends and had some great adult talks. I enjoy all the different views and opinions. It may not go quick enough for you but it is a great site to have and be a part of. HAPPY MYLOTTING.

I have days like that and it is sometimes very disappointing because I do want to earn more money on here everyday. I do need to spend more time on here and I need to respond to people who respond to me better than I have been. At least I hope that will help me and I will finally make payout next month.

Do you remember a song by Phil Collins called '(Just) One More Night'? Start humming it... but alter the words a bit... 'just one more time, just one more time, cos I don't believe, it's ever gonna sinkin'' We do NOT earn for the activity of others here. You must COMMENT on the responses if you want to earn! Only then will you see your earnings increase! [i]"you can't hurry love, nah, you can't hurry love....'

I have already done exactly that on at least 6 discussions by this user in the last 2 months Others have seen me but it seems Clorissa hasn't and she has never ever commented.... but she keeps complaining

yeah even i believe that earning is slow in here !!!i think my lot must set some predefined rules of earning like 5 responses =3 cents say!!!so that its clear to a user that what will be his next day balance or one generally takes it as frustration like posting 30 comments and getting onli 20 cents!!!i m srrry fr u though!!!

I wouldn't give up and like so many others have already said- I find that I earn more as I respond to ppl who have responded to a discussion that I started. Just a little food for thought! Good luck and happy mylotting!

I thought yesterday i would have gotten more points than i would have the day before, but then remembered the day before i was adding images to my responses and yesterday i didn't do so, so today i have been adding images to my responses hoping to gain some quick earnings as it would be greatly appreciated of course. Mylot gives away there necessary earnings as they think they should be. Maybe if you try writing more as you should know in a response then you will gain more earnings, writing only a few sentences doesn't cut it here and you wont earn much from those response. I hope i can get to over 6 dollars today with the responses i have done and some of the discussion i have started.

really? Wow, I cannot imagine that you only get a little. I actually post around 5 or seven yesterday and I got fourteen cents. That is not much time. I only spend twenty minutes in Mylot website. I actually want to spend more that but for now, I cannot because I spend my other time to other things. I also used my other time in other earning online website so I have to divide my time. Thank you for posting this. Have a nice day. Keep posting. Happy mylotting. Best regards, Jeff

What other things do you spend your time on? are you currently working on any other sites that possibly pay out more for the time that you put into them? I think that's what everybody here wants is not necessarily to get paid more per job or per posting but to get paid more per "hour" so to speak. To actually make it worth the "time" that is put into it. Of course some people will type and read faster and can do more in the same amount of time as others but I think we essentially are all trying for the same thing.

oh my clorissa if you had some 30 postings you should have made more than that, but maybe you are shortchanging yourself, dont make your posts too short as maylot doesnt pay at all for short ones, they must be four or five, even six is better lines long and as meaty as you can make them.like mylot says please be as descriptive as possible one sentence wont get paid, five or six will, this has helped me to already earn almost ten dollars,9.92.just take a bit more time as I am doing here and make a good response. fewer fatter responses will get you good money. try it it does work. see I have now nine sentences and it didnt take me long either.

I don't earn much here. Some days I earn more, some days I earn less depending on how active I am. I earn more from doing tasks on mylot. I think you should focus less on your earnings and focus more on replying to discussions that interest you or making interesting posts that will get you lots of responses, that way you will enjoy yourself on mylot and your earnings will grow more faster and you might even surprise yourself.

Dear clorissa123, Never Give Up... you have reached so far already. Your journey at myLot (2548) that is alot..... 1) Start and interesting topic of discussion. Make sure you comment each and everyone of the responses you received. At least 3 relevant sentences on the topic and on what they wrote! Be sincere and genuine. It is quality that myLot are looking at besides quantity in discussion. 2) You already at 9th star rating. That is very good! It helps in your earnings too. Rate your fellow myLotters responses. Help their overall ratings as you rate, you are rated too. It is a Win-win situation. 3) Add some images and see. I have not try it. All the bset, keep oon response in quality, keep on commenting, keep on discussing. I believe the the money will roll in soon. All the best, do drop by at my discussion topics. Thanks for your support and happy myLotting! Do keep in touch!

Yeah you just cann't earn quick money here . It all depends on your opinion about this mylot . If it's for the way to earn money then it doesn't worth so much time . However if it's interesting and meaningful to you , just stick to it and let the money alone.

I think my earning pace is decent. It seems I get about $0.35 per day, which isn't bad. It would add up to about $10-11 per month - I'll take that. But it does seem to take a lot of posts to get any decent boost in earnings.
