I just got a new tattoo. I went to a tattoo parlor with a friend and his tattoo was 4 hours long and another artist got to talking to me and asked what i wanted. Although I didnt plan on getting one that day, he asked me what I had in mind and true it up cause he was bored. It was exactly what I was thinking in my head so I had to get it.
Mine Says Viva La Vida
which means live the life
Means alot to me because Ive had a couple suicidal friends and alot going on when I was yougner, so I spent most my days upset or stressed. Growing up I realized that it wasnt worth it and to just live your life
thats why I love the meaning so much.
I have another tattoo of lips (that was a funny/dare tattoo that is hidden) but my first tattoo was a cancer ribbon because of my grandmas.
Personally, I like tattoos of quotes/lyrics out of everything the best.
What are your tattoos and what are the meanings?

I have three.
the first is a bat on my lower back. I don't think there's any real meaning, beyond that I've always loved bats.
the second is the words, Freedom Beauty Truth & Love on my foot.
the first film my partner and I went to the cinema together to see was Moulin Rouge. and I love the idea of what those words mean. I had that one done to celebrate our engagement.
and I also have the word Everlong on my wrist.
this covers up a scar from when I cut my wrist open when my hand went through a window I was trying to open. Everlong will be our first dance at our wedding in September. when we first got together I had just started learning to play the guitar, and he used to play it for me.

I don't have any tats and I don't plan on getting any. I'll stick with my scars to mark events or moments in my life. I have a scar on my shin from when my son was about 2 years old, I was loading the dishwasher and he was using the open door to keep his balance. He grabbed a knife from the silverware holder (there were plenty of other untensils he could have taken) and he started to run. Instinct told me to catch him and take it out of his hand, too bad my brain forgot that the door was down, it took a good chunk out of my shin, I yelled and he dropped the knife. Maybe I should have done that in the first place. :(
