Are you looking for a job? Do you like to play computer games? Then you can be hired by US Air Force!
USAF is looking for pilots of Unmanned Aerial Vehicles (UAV) or drones, which are now used in war against insurgencies and terrorists in Iraq and Afganistan. This light aircraft is operated wirelessly and remotely by a trained pilot who just stays in the United States while indulging a special mission in the Middle East. It is basically run and flown using buttons and joystick, like a computer game. The operator just watch and control the movement and activities of the plane into monitors. The UAV is equipped with survellance cameras that can be zoomed in from a distance with utmost clarity. This helps to find the illusive enemies hiding in the camouflaging terrains like in Afganistan. These bird's eye views give wider perspectives to the commanders to analyze situations and give direct orders.
But, UAV is not only used for survellance; it is also equipped with missiles and bombs. It can hit the targets with extreme accuracy, reason that threatens the enemies.
Back to the main topic, the USAF is conducting a screening process of finding qualified applicants who have the capacity to handle multi-task computer operations more likened to computer game manipulation. It is just like playing strategic games in combination with more flight simulations.
Greg Groves is one of the lucky trainees who has been selected for an experimental class. He hasn't taken off an airplane but an avid computer gamer. He is now about to take a mission in Afganistan.
So, if you are an avid computer gamer and looking for a job, this can be the best spot for you! Join now the USAF!
