Do you put your real name online?

Do you use your real name when signing up on online sites and such? Do you think that's a dangerous thing to do since there could be an identity thief? For me, I use a pseudo name.

No i don't. I don't want to be a victim of identity theft and i also don't want to be tracked down though it seems impossible here on the net. I do put my real name on Paypal since i have no choice or else i wouldn't get my money because i'd be having trouble with identification. I guess it's best not to use real names whenever possible.

The only place I have my real name is with an email account that I use for my resume and profesional communications, and on my MySpace page. I have the MySpace to visit with family and friends only, not people that I do not know and it is set up with the highest privacy possible so I do not really worry about it being there. I also only use that email for profesional use so not everybody gets it. Every other site I use has a pseudo name, and I am rather fond of it.

Oh yeah, nice idea. Though I was a bit concerned about you putting it at social networking sites. Well, I do usually use my real name when family is involved, I just delete the surname. It's a nice idea to just use your name in an email made for jobs, I do that too.

It is depend on what site I am signing on. If it is serious then I will put my real name... and mostly I do. I Have protection ID that always monitor my name or my Social... so whatever it effects or go through my name then they will give me a call to make sure I authorized this issue

Hi there well i am using a nickname everytime i sign up for any sites. I always hesitate to put my real name because it might have cause any problem so id rather choose to put other names but if its really needed and i will be benifited from it I give my real name. Keep on mylotting

Hello laydee this is checkmail and often do use nickname to register at site as real name disclosure thinks to danger to my privacy.Sometimes often the name gets teased at this online stuffs so, its better to apply nickname for interaction.Also there might be chances of someone getting your identity.

Hey, I don't really put my real name online, unless I really have to, if I really have to then yes I will. But when it comes to sites like myLot and other ones, I just put up a nick name or something like that, as you can see mine is 'Elite User'.
