What do you do to relax after a hectic stressful day? When the world seems to be working against you, as you try to push forward, but it seems like you are making no progress. What are your methods of releasing the tension?

Hi LovemySoldier,
Usually try and drop whatever is nagging me like a bone. Usually sit outside in the bit of garden we have and watch and listen to whats going on out there birds, people.
Also I usually do all the things I dislike doing the most first and that brings my stress levels down and all the rest I usually do in bits and pieces. I keep away from the Kitchen as much as possible. Start reading something positive, listen to a prerecorded film I might have on the Dvd thing and make myself a nice drink of tea but not always as the other people in your family don´t always want to watch what you do. Crosswords are a great relaxer even if you get all the answers wrong specially in Spanish. I try to drop bac moods before nine o´clock at night it does not always work but I make it a norm and it has stuck with me now for a long time. Does not make any sense mulling over the same thing over and over all night long.

I love doing Sudoku puzzles, but I have not done them in a while, that was a great suggestion. I used to garden as well, but now I am in an apartment until we relocate, so I can't wait to find a house and get to garden again!
Thanks for your responses!

Hi lovemysoldier, I have the only way to relax and releasing the tension. That is sleeping. I keep my mind free of anything and a peaceful sleep can recharge my energy and make me feel fresh .

After a long day of work, I enjoy spending time with my fiance. This is my favorite thing to do, when I come home after work or class or something like that. I also enjoy reading, writing, meditating, watching movies, going for a walk, or something like that. These are just some of the things that I enjoy doing in order to relax.

Hey,
Most of the time, I just flip open my computer and start replying to discussions. What this does is it relaxes me, and helps me to get away from all the problems that are in my life. It is a stress reliever for me. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!

I will put on my dvd player and sing video k
and either go in the park or beach to have
a break after the hectec schedules I have.
Do some things that can make me happy or also
watch funny videos.
Rest for the whole day to get energize next day.
So depends on the weather condition if I could
go out or not.

Drink hot chocolate, get sleepy, crying, and then sleep for a long time, and then wake up, don;t think about it and just do the thing that I have to do. Problems will keep coming, talk to your heart, relieved it, pray and take a deep breath and think something else. Let time heal everything. Be patient, rewards will eb coming to people who are patient.

If I had a long day and would really want to relax, I would rather go home than go wherever else. Upon returning home, I would eagerly look for my bed and pillow and close my eyes to sleep. That's the best method of relaxing for me. In that way, I could relax my mind from all the worries of this world. And hoping that when I wake up, things would become better and much easier to figure out.

And oh, i'd said how nice it is to be always staying here.... so relaxing and ur eyes is looking wide space of the sky and sea.

I relax by either kicking back and watching some movies or pro-wrestling. Or I might play guitar for awhile. I love playing, so it's very relaxing to me. Sometimes I like to go to the park also. I live right next to a park with a little lake, so I may go up there and hang out for awhile.
