Is training is necessary?

To be able to do jobs smoothly, do we need training? To motivate us? Is it really worth?

Training is very much necessary to do work efficiently. For any technical job, I think hands on training will help the person to perform well in his work.

What is hands on training? Is it on the job training? Or off the job training?
