Do you believe the "ghost story" that happens in the hotel...?

What makes me think of this discussion is I just reply to one of the mylotters's discussion about hotel or home. That makes me think of the "ghost"...
When I was in high school, all of us like to talk about what they have heard or actually experienced in the hotel... I sometimes listened for a while and just left because they made it so scary... I wanted to be still feel comfortable to stay in the hotel when I go travel...
When I go travel, I never EVER sleep alone in a room, I really need company with me... I know I'm such a wimp but it's true... and I don't like the room to have too many mirror either...
Do you have anything to share? Any scary experiences?... what else.........

I don't have fear staying in hotels till I see the movie 1408. After that I am little bit scary in hotels. Good to see this as a discussion. Cheers.

today is the modern world and we all are living in this world. all we are civilized people. so one must not believe in such type of stories. this is not true in real sense. well according to me ther is nothing like gosts. so don't be superstitious .always think like a civilized people.

Hello mermaidivy,
Whenever I hear the story, I have goosebumps but I still stay in the hotel alone. Quite often I did that in the past. I do feel afraid and pray hard that I won't experience anything uncomfortable. Guess I am quite lucky that I have never encountered such incident.

Well, I'm not really sure if I believe in ghost store. But last year we spend about 5 days in Pocono Mountain. We stayed in this old hotel, little over 100yrs old. And the housekeeping people started telling story about this "little girl" that playing her black and white ball on the stairs towards the game room. Funny the thing the night before I heard the story I went to that game room through that stairs, and all my neck hair was standing when I pass it. I end up only spent 5 minutes in the game room. THe next day the housekeeping person told me the story. I didn't see the little girl or the ball, but i think next time i will just stay in other "younger" hotel

That would make my goosebump all stand up...
I think it would be "nicer" to stay at a younger hotel but who knows if they are another story in another "younger" hotels.

i also think that one shouldnt stay in a room with many mirrors. its said in my hometown that the mirror will attract one's soul into it and never gives it back so that mirrors are rather scary esp.during the night.and i think there are many weird things in the hotel.it makes people not able to forget about them and scares people who stay in the hotels at night.

oh wow you won't believe this but i was gonna ask the same question because i watched a haunted house story last night. and scared the heck out of me so i believe in ghost stories i think thats a little weird because i'm not really religious. i wonder if the bible says anything about ghost. wow i would of never even went into the hotel you never know the ghost might not like you and follow you out just to haunt you. haha i don't know how these things work. and no i don't have any scare experiences. the worst i ever done was go into a haunted house it kind of scared me a little people kept poping out it was dark and a heard a chain saw.

i do believe that the ghost stories in hotel are true although i never experienc it . i heard a lot of hotel ghost stories from TV , books , magazines . Yeah when i go to travel i won't let myself be alone but i tried once in my life . Luckily i slept well that night and no ghosts came and sit on my body. Therefore you should choose a clean , well known hotel which is very important.
