Can You tell me the CUT off date for calculating Min. Age to appear CBSE X Exam?

I am really in hardship when i heard my nephew is Underage to sit for CBSE Class X Exam from a school in West Bengal, India. His date of birth is 10-03-96. But his school authority says that his registration will be canceled for being underage. But they do not know the cut off date for such calculation. Will you please help myLot friends.
