How do you know that person is your best friend?

We all have different friends, from different groups or different locations or situations. But amidst all these friends, how can you really tell he/she is the BEST?
Is it possible though to have many Best Friends?

Your best friend is always there for you, tells you when you "really do look fat in that" & tells you when the guy you are dating is a creep. A real friend can tell you the negative things & you won't get mad at him/her. I think you can have more than one best friend, but not over about 4 & it is usually that all of you are friends. I have 3 super friends, I just wish that we all lived closer!

Yea,I agree. a best friend is one can talk about things that you could not talk to others, keep your secrets in his/her heart, give you the ture point about what you ask. I've got 2 best friends, they all live far away from me or work in the other town, we can only chat online or talk on cellphone.
Remember you should always keep good connection with them.

For me my best fren is one who is always there for me..to listen to care , to give, to hold and to argue as well... someone who sees you through ur bad times and good times and still says...heey...thats my best fren...someone who is a fren at all times........

For me a bestfriend is someone who is there with you not only through the good times but also the bad times. Somebody who would hold your hand when you're going through something, somebody who would cheer you up when you're down. He/she is someone whom you can share your thoughts to without reservation and without fear of being judged. A bestfriend is somebody even if you do not see or talk to each other everyday, yo are assured that you will remain friends.
Yes, it is possible to have many best friends.
