At one point of time,I used to get very irritated. But,now,I too have got into the groove and started using them.
But,I still get irritated when people still use their own versions of shortcuts and take great pleasure when people are not able to understand it..
Do you like people using shortcuts of english words?

Yeah, I have low tolerance over people using shortcut words online and on texting. I mean, we're not using telegraphs right? Not every letter or word has costs, so why don't you just type it out as it should be instead of wanting me to decipher your self-made acronyms, right?

I think alot of people have gotten into the habit because of texting. I don't like the shortcuts at all. I also don't text so that may be why I feel this way. LOL LOL LOL

Hi jimmy87,
I only used the lol or brb (be right back) shortcut in forum or chatting. Other then that, I prefer not to used it. Sometimes I can't really understand what is the meaning of that shortcut. I need about 3-4 days to figure out OMG meanings when I see someone used it here.
You will very irritated if you can't get the meaning of that word. And everybody does it. I can't understand why they have to use it at all since there is no charge for using a full word. And it is more easier to understand the words or the sentences.
