Some people may get offended by my following statements. i may be even come off as anti-poor or undemocratic but before everyone start sending me hate mails please do ponder on the points presented.
We all know poor people constitute a majority of our society, even in other countries. These people could occupy as much as 70 percent of the society and they have tremendous voting power comes election time. They themselves can change the fate of the nation and they can decide the future of the country by the massive votes they can deliver. We have seen their power with the election of former President Erap and how they almost toppled the Philippine government with the may 1 riot. so whats the big deal?
Ok next to them at the upper level of the social strata are the middle class and the upper class members of the society. These people are the ones who pay the taxes, crunch the numbers everyday and basically puts the economy running by their noney earned by their blood and sweat. They lead the nation by their brains. They run the business. in short they are the lifeblood of the nation.
The money of the middle and the upper class are the ones that funds the basic social service provided for the poor. The tax they pay runs the government hospitals, build the roads and literally feeds the poor and the underprivileged (corruption in the government is another topic). So basically, they are the ones nursing the poor. Unfair? Maybe but I'll tell you whats really unfair!
These upper and middle class constitutes only about 30 percent of the society. They bear the burden of keeping the government alive so it can feed its poorer member of the society.
The poor is useless to the government. In the sense that they dont have income in which the government can get taxes. They are the ones that must be fed and clothed. What's unfair about that? Well don't you find it unfair that the poor decides the fate of the nation comes election time? The poor people Im referring here are the ones that don't pay the taxes, the ones that must be nourished by every centavos i pay for my taxes.
Its simple as this: I pay the government a part of my salary so my poor neighbor can live a decent life yet he and his fellow poor decides that my presidential candidate can't win!
The way i see it people who don't pay the taxes shouldnt be allowed to vote. I love the poor and I am willing to part my money to help them out buts its unfair that the people who owe a part of their life to the very tax that i pay decides the fate the future of my country.
You know why this keeps happening? Because these uneducated, underprivileged sectors of the society are obedient, mindless minions that greedy politicians can deceive. That really sucked!

Hehe.. i couldn't agree more. People just keep voting for the lousiest candidate. The people, well some of the poor people, are easily duped by simply sweet talking them. They have this illusion that this person would help them without getting anything like billions of Philippine money. I don't want to point a finger on the poor people but these people on the lower class sometimes creates anarchy to get the decision to their favor.
