How fast is your internet connection.

I am just wondering, how is the internet technology doing in various countries around the world.
There may be different type of connections such as dialup, cable, DSL, ADSL and fiber optics. There are also wireless such as 3G and 3.5G.
In my country philippines, the fastest internet could only go as high as 12Mbps, but it costs too expensive, it is not affordable. Individuals could not afford it, perhaps only companies or rich people can buy it.
For average people, they could only afford the speed of 1Mbps max. But this max speed is burst speed only. so average speed is only bout 300-600Kbps.
The internet in the philippines i way behind other countries I guess.
So how fast is you internet in your country.

rcjp03 , is it possible for you to explain that tweaking the registry speeds up internet connection? I just wonder that this setting can not be done by setting the properties of the connection.

I thought my interenet connection was the best among the rest but i was wrong.. after three months, my broadband starts to flactuate from time to time and it's pissing me off.. i wanted to tranfer to another internet service provider but i am not sure what to get this time as i have tried two big companies already and they failed..

Well my internet connection is only about 20MBps so that isn't that fast at all, but I think it is enough for me, mainly because I don't really do much with my internet connection other than post at myLot, and also watch YouTube videos. Make sure you have a good day, God bless and Happy Lotting!!
