Democratic representative weiner puts fourth medicare removing amendment

In an interesting move not lacking in political savvy, the democrat from new york forced repubs to vote on another government run health care program, that appearantly the like.
It's called medicare, maybe youve heard of it?
weiner (even i have to giggle at his name) basically reminded the GOP that there already exists a form of health care, which is government run, and which provides millions of americans with vital service that they are certainly extremely pleased with.
Not surprisingly, none of the repubs in the house voted to remove medicare, and those who did would surely be voted out by their constituents in 2010.

I think that may have sometime to do with the fact that just about all of the older politicians have a medicare card no matter which party they are in.

do you honestly think that politicians have a hard time paying for medicine? they get full benefits as it is...

Of course they don't, but it doesn't change the fact they get medicare along with everyone else.
