Do you buy political ads?

Election is really near. Politicians sell themselves in national tv in form of commercials. Some are aggradizing their accomplishment, their ideals, and advocacies. Some are negative ads attacking their possible opponent in the position they are planning to run. The irony is they spend millions of dollars for these political ads while running for positions which expect to give them only an average salary. What are their motives? Is it really to serve the people? Why not give away their money they spend in the campaigning directly to the people? Give me the Priority no. 1, please! (",)
