Hi Ruby.Even I love fish, basically, prawns and seafishes.I have never tasted fish curry, cooked in the south Indian style, but I guess,it must have been very delicious. My mother has got allergy from prawns,so she never eats them.Have you ever tried 'hilsa' fish. They are filled with skeletal thorns, but one of the most tastiest.Keep Lotting.

I also love fish I like any kind of fish available in the local market. Now that there is a typhoon the price of fish is also affected. We are surrounded by water so fish here is very abundant. My favorite way to cook fish is paksiw (cook in vinegar onions, ginger, garlic and pepper) and ginataan ( cook in coconut milk). Curry powder is not popular here we only cook it in chicken.

When I used to work in the middle east. There was a time that I go to the nearby beach and wait for the fishermen to arrive. They bring their net and leave it there at the beach not taking the small fishes with them. They just leave it there for the seagulls and crows to feed upon. Arabs don't eat small fishes. I collect around 5 kilos of small fishes. Let them dry for a little bit. Dry them up with some rock salt mix with them. I arrange them inside a drum and prepare some burning coal beneath the drum. After an hour the fishes are already cooked. Smoked fish is another way of cooking fishes.

Hi rubypatson, glad you posted this as I love fish and have a more than ample supply in the fishing season as the fishermen often give me some of their catch and now you've given me a good idea for a different way to cook some of it. I'll pop some in a Thai green curry. The only bit that puts me off fish is the inevitable bones.
