What will happen if you mark the best response on mylot?

Nothing , only your discussion will be resolved. And it is always a good practice to close your discussion after you feel that you have got the answers or thoughts for what you were looking for and then select the best one which you feel. This will help the responder an apprictiation and I guess some extra cents as well.

That remains unrevealed when it comes to earnings with best responses.Whether you gain or the responder gains is still a mystery.But immediate benefit is that the responder who gets the best response is honored.And it means you have come to a point where you are convinced.Cheers!

I think marking best response not only resolves your discussion but also increases your earnings. As the earning algorithm of mylot is still a mystery, lot of guesses have been produced. But to my experience the earnings will increase once you rate your discussions and resolve your discussions. As far as the one who gets the best response definitely gets better earning for the particular posts and also his rating will be increased. You can see that the ratings of each person will be the star that appears on the left of their name, only for those who have crossed hundred posts. Also for each and every group in interests like mylot, questions& answers, you will ranked among the total number of members belonging to that group. That rank also gets modified based on the rating and the best response. All these are logical inductions as I can`t prove it exactly.

the p erson with the best response will not get any more money its just that that person will see that he or she has been pretty thoughtful and that person will probably make better discussions himself or herself. I think we all help each other when we do give a best response honestly . its good practice too, we all learn by giving best responses and by making good discussions and by helping each other. hatley
