do you stay up very often?

Students in China and some IT emplyees often have to stay up to finish their work.as we all know that staying up can reduce your time for sleep and result in insufficient rest and adjustment of your brain and organs,which will cause severe harm to your health. when I was a senior 3 student in high middle school.I suffered for a heavy burden of study.I got a lot of homework to do.I often stay up and go to bed at 1 or 2 am. I felt the my memory was greatly hurt by staying up. now I am a freshman,I seldom stay up.I feel my memory is much better than before. and I feel energtic every day. do you guys often stay up? what is the reason for that? what do you do to return to the regular life?

Yes I stay up quite a lot, and I know I shouldn't. I wish I had a better reason like studying or work, but usually I'm just wasting time playing dress up online, or reading (which I can actually do in the daytime). For a long time though, I always slept at 11 or 11:30, that's my limit, but lately, I've been going as far as 2-3 or even 4am. Once I even slept at 5am. I need to get back on track!! Sleep is really important, PROPER sleep, which is at night, and not in the morning. Because the cells rebuild during the dark hours, and they don't do as well when you catch up on sleep in the daytime. According to my mom, when cells do not regenerate correctly they could become cancer cells, so sleeping early should be made into a habit (especially for me!)

thanks for your comments.and thanks for your information about cells. "when cells do not regenerate corrently they could become cancer cells" I will remember that. I think everyone won't stay up if they know this knowledge. I think I will sleep early as you will do.

The reason why I stay up is either I got so many writings to do, or I am texting my friend or I am watching late night tv. I already graduated , through with the reviews for exam and all that. That is good for you, don't let your energy be wasted by staying up. It is important that you still have a rest and be fresh for tomorrows class. It also affects your memory when you stay up late. And drink vitamins too!
