Chased by a stray dog...

You reminded me of this incident...I go for my entrance classes early in the morning...I was half asleep dragging my legs forward. I passed a house and the dog in that house started chasing...I didn't know why...I struggled a lot to reach the place...I finally landed in the class and all looked at me...I was sweating and all were surprised to see me so brisk early in the morning... Later after the class ended, I told them what happened...they all burst out laughing..When I was walking back home, coincidentally I felt some sound approaching fast towards me...without looking back I again ran for my life....Suddenly I heard some girl's voice, that was my friend, who wanted to give me my book that I left in the class :-) I can never forget this incident...

I have experienced being chased by stray dogs, and the number of friends or strangers that I have seen being chased by stray dogs are not few too. From my experience, I find that stray dogs will mostly only chase a person if they are provoked or disturbed, although there are some exceptions where stray dogs can chase people for no reason. And one good way to stop them from continuing to chase you is to stop running and stop breathing for a while. While I have never had major injuries with these stray dog chases, the same cannot be said for one of my friend. She actually got bitten by a stray dog and had to spend a couple of days in hospital being treated for infection and prevention of rabies. I love dogs, but dogs that bark too much and chase people just irritate me more....haha....

I dont know about stray dog, but there is this big black dog. He has a collar on him so I would think the owner lives near by. He keeps coming around our house. He growls at everyone and tries to jump on us. He growls at our dogs. If we try to get him away by yelling at him he starts barking at us. My step dad has got to the point that he wants to shoot it. It will not stay off our property.

My dog is highly feared in my area becos it chases everybody it sees.

hello, very interesting question indeed. Actually, I had never been chased by any stray dog, but twice or thrice by stray cows. Yes, these very incidents led me into very horrible conditions that time and when I remember about those incidents now, flashes of smile appears on my face. The first incident took place around 5 years ago when I was returning from my school. There is some empty space in front of my house with very low level fencing. There a cow chased me very vigorously, I had to run around briskly and twice I jumped over fencing, but the cow came from the other side around and continued chasing me for around 5 minutes. The other two incidents took place last year when we were playing cricket in our colony garden and a cow chased me only leaving all other players. This happened for two days consecutively. My friends told me that there must be some connection between you and the cow. It was a very funny situation and horrifying too. Happy myLotting.
