"Land of the free"

America was discovered by the famous navigator ,Amerigo Wespucci.I feel the city of Philadelphia is the city which resembles the brotherly love.So also there is the freedom and there is many cultures residing in harmony.. So i feel it is the land of free.

Land of the free does not mean that everything should be free and the government should support everybody. Freedom is a lifestyle. Americans have rights which are listed in the Constitution. America is a very liberal country overall. Just in California alone, the government is supporting 30% of its total overall welfare population. Welfare is a handout by the government. Yes, the government has gotten too big and there is a lot of waste but there are also a lot of freeloaders who have the attitude that American owes them something. America does not cause a lot of wars. America stands up for liberty and justice and tries to help countries who are being oppressed and that are corrupt and ruled by dictators who are selfish and out for their own pocketbooks and high lifestyles. No one knew that Osama Bin Laden would turn out to be the evil person that he is. For god's sake, America would have had nothing to do with him if they could see into the future and see what type of a person he was. Does your country offer free health care to all people and if so, how do you like it? Do you have to wait 6 months to have your appendix removed? In my opinion, people have to make their lives the best they can, on their own, not looking to a government for a handout. They have to make wise choices in their lives. If they cannot afford 1 child, then why have 10? People have to get educated, stay in school, work hard and show something for their lives., not just expect someone else to take care of them. With all its faults, America is still the best place to live. If you do not think so, just look at the numbers of immigrants who want to come to this country, probably a lot more immigrants want to come here than anywhere else on this earth.
