Do you have a favorite brand of alcohol?

My favorite alcohol is Bacardi gold rum. I have a lot of friends who like Captain Morgan rum. I don't like the spice in it. My husband use to drink vodka. We found that Smirnoff vodka is very bitter tasting. He always drank Five O'Clock vodka. It was cheap, but tasted good. My brother buys cheap alcohol, so I'm always sure to take my own when I go to his house. He was drinking a mixed drink one time. I asked him what it was & he handed it to me. I tasted it & told him exactly what it was. I don't remember the mixer now, probably some sort of lemonade, but the alcohol was the knock off of Jack Daniels. He just stood there with his mouth open that I knew what it was after one sip. We had to move our alcohol to our bedroom in our house because our friends were drinking it all! They were always saying, "you buy the good stuff!". So do you have a favorite brand? Do you buy the cheap stuff if you're having a party & going to be serving a lot of alcohol?
