Is love Preciousor poisonous?

I think it can be both dependng on the people involved. For example, love is poisonous when a man hits his wife or girlfriend or children. And it can be poisonous if someone is verbally abusing another person, calling them names or bullying them with words. But it can be precious if there is true, genuine kindness and caring for another person. Real love should be patient, kind, gentle, not angry and conditional. that kind of love is one that says I will love you only if you do or say....whatever. that's what I think.
