I have a laptop with usb speakers and an iomega hard drive. Everytime i connect the external hard drive i hear that noises coming from the drive are amplified by the speakers. Why? Please explain me this. I bet it is because they are on the same bus? (usb) thanks in advance for your reply, you are the best!

Well in short, sound is a wave of vibration. If your bus is delivering that vibration and you believe that they are on the same bus, then that is a very plausible solution. But in retrospect, you may have a much more complicated problem. I would suggest getting some one with better knowledge to help you out, lol, but I suppose that's why you proposed this question right.

Probable "leakage" in the installation of your hardware. Is there a cable cover that is open or torn?
