i have 3 children, ages 2, 4,and 9, and none of them have had chickenpox yet.it has been circulating round there schools and nursery many times, but still they fail to catch it. My 2 youngest have plenty time to catch it but i worry about how severe it could be for my 9yold if he was to get it over the next few years.

It is best that you go to the doctor and have your children vaccinated for chickenpox. Prevention is still better than cure.

i have had chicken pox twice once when i was three and another time when i was 12. i never got the shot because it was too late by the time it was available to me. im not sure how he would react to it but for me i starte noticing the bumps on my stomach but i never realized what it was at first so i scratched. they spread so my mother bought me calamine lotion. it helps with the itching and bumps. all i was able to do for it was stay at home away from people and take medicine if there is a fever or pain it went away in about 5 days for me. i hope this is helpful.
