Since I love traveling around the world, I think to myself how wonderful it would be if I have a job that would allow me that opportunity and travel to my heart content. However, I have to be practical as well and be able to earn money for a living. So what kind of job would let me be able to travel around the world while being a practical job as well?

Teaching English as a Foreign language would be a great career. I know a lady that did a degree in the History of Art then a TEFL course. She went to teach in Spain, Poland and Russia. Now she is back home and working as a teacher in a secondary school.
I imagine that working as a dive master would be a great job. If a person had a visa for the countries they could work in any tropical country like Australia, Indonesia, Thailand or Costa Rica.
Fruit picking and packing are jobs that often don't appeal to the local population. Therefore the government of those countries might give visas to people from overseas. I have had working holiday visas for Australia and New Zealand. Canada lets a few nationalities work there.
I have been able to work as a children's nanny in Finland and Australia. I have studied in the Netherlands and that was a valuable experience. Good luck.

You could work for an international airline as a steward or stewardess or you could work as a tour guide for a tour company. Try to get in with one of the movie studios as a location scout. Write a travel column for a newspaper or magazine. There are a couple of companies that offer work driving private cars to other areas of the country. They give you a certain length of time to get there and pay your airfare home. You are also paid a per mile allowance. There are also a couple of companies that will give you a week free at one of their schools that give foreign professionals practice having conversations with native English speakers. You have to pay your airfare but your room and meals for the week are on them. I believe that the opportunties are available in Spain and in Italy. How about fronting the money for travel and writing a blog or a travel book. I love to travel as well and am always on the lookout for free or cheap travel. Best of luck to you.

As the other poster said, a job at a travel agency has a lot of benefits. You could also think about journalism. If you're interested in world events etc. It takes a long time to get to that point though. Airlines have several opportunities in that area as well. Cruise ships too. Photography. Photo-journalist. These are just the ones that come immediately to mind. It really just depends on where your passion lies. If you're into helping other people, an organization like the Peace Corps (US only) can offer opportunities. Again, it all depends on what your interests are. Good luck in your quest!
