If you could have chosen the year you were born, what time period would you have grown up in?
Personally, I would have liked to have been born ten years earlier(I was born in 1983), so I could have been a little older in the late 80's / early 90's. I would have also liked to been around for the 70's, that would have been cool.
Anyways, when would you liked to been born, and why?

if i could live in any time i would probably pick the 70's or 80's thats when my mom was born so it would be cool to hang out with her and be her friend. because me and my mom are pretty close now. and not only that everyone always says i was born in the wrong decade because i love the oldies and try to dress in the 80's clothes. i want elevator shoes really bad! they look super cool.

i'm thinking my mom wouldn't be my mom and she would just be my friend and hopefully my new mom will be as great as her.

The 80s were great, you would have loved them. The big hear, the colorful clothes and just plain craziness lol.
I would have loved to be born in the 60s and be older for the 70s to truely enjoy them.
I would love to experience some of ancient greece or ancient rome, but I wouldn't have wanted to be born then, just check it out for awhile lol.

I knew it, the 80's seemed awesome. Oh well, haha!
Ancient Greece or Rome would definitely be cool. But, you're right, I wouldn't want to live there for my whole life. I know I'd get fed to the lions, :) I think the same goes for the wild west. That would have been fun. You could be an outlaw, all you have to do, is be able to shoot good.

I think everyone wants to grow up a bit earlier in time than they did because they see things and think "Aww, I was just to young for this!". I personally would love to have grown up in the future, say around the 22nd century would be good. But that is probably not what you mean. Otherwise, probably the 60s would be a good time to grow up, see man land on the moon, etc.

Yeah, it's like the grass is greener on the other side type of thing. And, no, that's cool if you would want to be born in the future. That counts too. It would be insane to go ahead 200-300 years and see what kind of technology they'll have. Or even just to see what happens to the planet in that time.

Would have loved to have been born at the turn of the century in America. That was when things started to happen and people started making their money. Now they're known as "old money". But really, I was born in '60 and some pretty fantastic things I have seen. Am not terribly fond of how society has turned out tho'. Children of today are far too spoiled and moving too fast. A bit of nice and slow would be good, don't ya think? I do feel sorry for them. What is there left to discover, I wonder.

I am satisfied for being born in this time itself. In my opinion, today's modern world is the best time for being born. Today's humans are the most gentle and benevolent. The past times were cruel and unjust. Today's life is the best and offers a lot of opportunities.

With all the things I have and use on a daily basis, you're right. It would be hard to go back, and live without these things. Thinking about that makes me think about how cool it would be, to be born in the future.
The past times were cruel and unjust, but a lot of times it's cruel and unjust today, also. Of course, it's always getting better, but there's always going to be injustice.

Hmm..I was born in 1982 and was pretty happy with growing up in the 90's but I also think that it would of been nice to have been born in the 70's and grow up in the 80's..I think the 60's might have been a nice time to go back and check out as well but I dont think I would want to live in the 60's that long. My husband was born in 1973 so he was lucky enough to grow up during the 80's....damn him LOL!!!

See, that would be perfect, to be born in 1973. I think growing up in the 80's would have been great. The 90's were awesome though, so I can't complain either.
I think the 60's would be pretty fun, too. I could live in the 60's, but I don't know about the 50's.

I was born in 1956 however if I had to choose I would have loved to be born in the 20's or 30's. I loved the fashions and the times were easier I think.

I would like to time travel to every different time and see which one was best! Then choose one to stay in. No matter how good we think other times would be, i think we would miss right now so much. We are used to the technology and would miss our every day luxuries! I think the days before technology would be cool to stay in for a while. Things would have been quite...simple i think. Just spend days running around fields. Must have been quite nice.
I think the key to any time period is you have to have been born in it. For example, if i was me but born before technology i probably would have enjoyed it. But now that i have experienced Digital tv, mobile phones, internet - I dont think i would enjoy being without them!
Just my views Have a nice day!

Yeah, I know what you mean. If I could be born 10 years earlier, I would have to forget all the technology that I use today. It would be hard to go back in that sense, but if you were actually born ten years earlier, you wouldn't know about any of the stuff from the future.
Actually, no, I take that back. It'd be awesome to know about all the technology, 10 or 20 years ago. Then you could invent everything yourself, haha!

Well, maybe. I was born in the mid 50's. I did enjoy the 70's quite a bit! But I think that I wouldn't have minded being about 30 years earlier. Although, let me think---yuch! I would be way old now! ;-) I think it was a lot more peaceful back then. Not so much running around all the time and people were a lot more respectful of others! Of course, there were some things that I would have hated then and that is the segregation, by color. I think those times were horrible!
Ok, I guess what I am thinking now, I am glad that I am were I am right now! 53 and loving life! Thank you for helping realize it!! have a blessed day!

Good question.
I've read a lot of historical novels, so living in the past would be fun, especially since men were such gentleman back then. lol.
i wouldn't mind the future too, to be able to see how the world will be in 100 years from now, technology and people. aliens perhaps.
but to answer your question.. i'd live here and now. this time is the best for us. why? because in the past, woman had no rights, the couldn't vote, work, they were treated well, but expected to sit at home and cook and wash. that's it. at least now, a woman has rights, can do what she wants.
in the future, it might be fun for us to explorer the world then, but we will never fit in, because humans are getting smarter each generation, so even if we do make it to the future somehow the smartest person will look like an airhead. well that's what i think.. as you can see i've thought of this pretty throughly. lol. i was talking about it with one of my friends just the other.

I'd like to go back to 96 or 97 when I was 43-4 years old. That's the best time that I ever had in my life!

I would have liked to have met my relative, who was Thomas Jefferson. I am related to him on three different points of ancestors.
