Hi nskhan1983! JK Rowling's birthday is also July 31 which most likely explain why she chose Harry's birthday to be that date too. Happy Mylotting!

Harry has a lot of things in common with JKR. Her birthday is July 31, they were both orphaned as children, and oddly enough (she didn't plan this) they both went from having nothing to having it all and are still incredibly humble. Harry's traumatized lifestyle with the Dursley's makes him different from most Leos. Plus, not everyone is exactly like what their Zodiac sign says they are going to be like personality wise.
