Well the other day I made a new friend and when she introduced herself to me as the same name as mine I was very astonished as I've never met anybody with the same name as me..
I was so excited (and so was she) so we ended up chatting for over four hours and well its like we've been best friends forever! She's the exact replica of me.. She loves football (not soccer) and she's an Arsenal fan too just like me!! It's like am looking in the mirror and have pulled out my clone or the long lost twin sister I never knew I had...
We're going out for drinks tomorrow night and I can't wait.. in my case its a bonus as I don't have any female friends so hopefully this is a beginning of a long lasting friendship..
Anyway so have you ever met someone with your exact name? (if your name is John or Michael am sure you have as those are two of the most common names worldwide) would love to hear your stories

Yes.....my ex mother in law....and we shared the same birthday too! It was almost too much...and did get me into a bind once....I was trying to use my charge card and it was declined because is was supposedly stolen...well her card had been stolen...it took some time to straighten that one out. They thought that there had been a typo in the year of birth! She was like 40 years older then me!

I found out my art teacher has the same first, middle and last name I do. Found this out because someone called the school for me and gave the call to her. I didn't know what her maiden name was, but I do know.
After that we had a great relationship. She was a mentor if you will. I've shared first names with a person before, but never a full name - what are the odds of that?

Of course, I have met people having the same as mine, although my name is not a very common name. I was astonished to hear my new friend saying that she is also called so as so...... when I asked her name. I could not believe myself and I was all smiles and replied to her that my name was the same. Even she could not believe it.

Yea everyone has my name!! I hate it that my name is so common because i like to be different and unique. I was actually in school one dasy and there was 3 other girls with the same name as me lol. What makes my name(Eboni) so different is that i spell it with an i. everyone i met spells it with a y

Happy you love the person with your name. My story is quite different. When I was at school, I had a girl with my exact name in a parallel class. I had quite a lot of problems because of our name problem. I lost a lot of things because of her. It was a real nightmare to me. I never ever want to be near to a person with my same name again. Take care.

Well, I have not ‘met’ anybody as such but throughout my school life, there were three of us Sudipta in one class! Can you imagine the confusion and laughter?!!! The teachers were forced to call all of us by our entire name i.e. name and surname together. After school I have not met anybody with the name Sudipta.

Yes I did only 1 time in my life. My name is very unusual and one day I was a burger joint and the girl in the drive thru had my name. I had to ask her how she pronounced it and she pronounced it the same as me and also spelled it exactly the same. It was really kind of weird to see my name on her name tag being that my name is so unusual.
Have a great day and happy myLotting!!!

My name is Christina and I have met so many Christinas in my lifetime. Sometimes, when I am on the phone and when people whats my name or ask me to spell my name. I will just answer like Christina Aguillera then immediately the conversation is over. NO more spell of name.

My best friend's sister has the same name with me and I feel weird knowing that there's people who have same name with me.. I feel like I have some similarity with her like our calmness,,hobby and clothes.. but we never get closer because it feels so strange,,I don't know why.. Everytime I know there's people who have the same name with me I become really curious to see the person.. and believe it, if someone call her instead of me I feel strange and happy at the same time.. unexplainable..

Hi jelly. Yes, I've met girls that had the first name as me. Some even had the same middle name as I do. I'm guessing that my first name must have been popular at the time I was growing up and that's why there are so many woman that have the same name as I do. However, I've never met anyone with the same first and last name as mine, though I have found a few online.
Happy mylotting!

As of now, I haven't met someone personally who also have name like mine. I have an unusual name that's why I might be surprised if someone's have a name like mine. But I searched on the net and I've found a few number of people with the same name like mine but haven't met them personally though. ^^

Interesting; back in high school I was very upset and surprised to find out this guy had my name!! I've never met anyone for the first 17 years of my life with the same name as myself, then this cat pops up!
The way I found out; I was in the hallway just came from P.E. (Physical Education) going to my locker, I heard someone call my name! So I'm turning around looking, asking who called me, and low and behold, 2 or 3 lockers down from me, here's this cat talking to this chick and he has my name! So much for my uniqueness.. My school homie says, "dude stole your name, but he aint chu!" So I felt a little better, especially when my senior year girlfriend said the same thing
Now my son has my name, and I don't mind that at all, he's a young me

Back in high school, there was a girl a grade behind me with the same exact name. I knew her but wasn't all buddy buddy since we traveled in different circles. It was kinda cool since whenever I skipped class and then got cut cards I would tell my mom it was for her and the school must've messed up somewhere along the way... of course it would've worked better if my mom actually believed me!! :) But then it was nice when I received information on how and where to pick up graduation tickets... a year after I had already graduated!!! I wish I could've recorded my moms face as she was apologizing to me.
