Corazon Aquino, Philippines president, dead at 76

Former President Aquino was diagnosed with advanced colon cancer last year and confined to a Manila hospital for more than a month. Her son said the cancer had spread to other organs and she was too weak to continue her chemotherapy. For the past month, supporters have been holding daily prayers for Aquino in churches in Manila and throughout the country. Her son, Sen. Benigno "Noynoy" Aquino III, said she died at 3:18 a.m. Saturday (1918 GMT Friday). The former President has a big part in every filipinos lives, she was the one who bring back the democracy of the Philippines after 20 years of dictatorship ruled by the late former President Marcos. My condolences to the Aquino family. Lets continue to pray for her soul.
