What is happening with my computer???

I must have gotten some kind of virus because all of a sudden my computer would not do anything. So I reloaded windows xp and now I seem to be have some very weird problems. I can not click on start so I can't defrag or clear anything. I can't load anything from the internet because I get windows explorer problems. My computer tells me it wants activeX but I can't get it on. I tried to load a disk with saftey features and now my computer can't even see its own cd drive. Anyone have any suggestions??

Agree with mickly08, seem virus hurts your computer seriously, reinstall os might clean all problems completely in your computer, if you don't want to lose any document or used soft application, please move any thing out of C drivers, then reinstall os. of course only format C drivers, virus also exists in the other drivers possibly, so you get the better antivirus soft to scan all disks,this is just my idea.I am sorry for we haven't seen your computer and wen don't understand what happened clearly.
