Just as the comments by myLotters above, I too don't think that caesarin can be a reason for her being underweight. There might be an underlying problem. It would be best if she consulted the doctor. If she has just had the baby it is all the more important that she seeks the doctor's advice to see that she has no problems.

I also agree that she had underlying illness ceasarean is not the cause of it. After giving birth some women gain weight. She should consult a doctor so she would know what the cause of it. Eat nutritious foods like vegetables, fruit and meat so she gain weight.

@avg.. I agree with you.Even I have heard of women gaining weight after a caesarian. I was thinking, if she is on some medication,it could be a reaction to that as well. Only a doctor can give the correct diagnosis.

Hi,I too don't think that your is underweight because she has under gone surgery. My sisters also had undergone rhis surgery but they became over weight after that.Is she was underweight before surgery or normal?I think she should consult a doctor regarding this..I am also under weight and i m not married yet.I eat everything like fruits, milk, egg etc but no improvement in my weight.I have consulted many doctors but no use.I am like this only since childhood. So its better for your friend to consult a doctor soon..

She might want to check into that with her doctor and find out why she is so underweight. It seems like a caesarin shouldnt cause that but who really knows? I hope she will feel better and will be able to talk to her doctor about what is wrong. I hope it gets resolved.
