comments on unread discussions

how would you feel about someone who commented on you discussion but doesn't see your point?
there are some discussions i read that is very interesting, but the problem is, some comments made in that discussion is clearly out of context. It is very far from what is being talked about....
i myself is not a fan of those who comment but obviously didn't read the comments before them or the topic itself.
please tell us what you really feel, in a way it will be a way of telling our fellow mylotters to at least read each discussion before they comment.

It can be quiet difficult to read all the discussions before yourself as you just dont have the time to go through them all one by one. It really depends on how many reponses there are in a discussion I guess. I tend to read responses sent to me by email & then repond back from there.

if there are so many comments and responses, we can sort replies by reading the shorter ones, and i reply only to those comments that i've read... making it a bit easier.... and if i don't see the writer's point or his comments are similar to the ones before him, i leave it as it is..smile, mai

I think this happens when some members just respond reading the title of the post in a hurry.They miss the content and mislead the post.In that case if you have time,you can counter comment on the response to guide them what you are towards.By that,if they come back they will know their fault and even if not,you can earn a little bit for your activity.Cheers!

Often it is difficult to read all the comments that came before you because you are responding from your email. You should have read the entire discussion though before responding, it's in your email 
Sometimes people respond after having read only part of a discussion and that can be bad because they may have missed the point of the discussion.

it's okay if we didn't all read the comments, but at least read the main topic of discussion... you see, sometimes responses take a big turn from what was being discussed just because one response was out of context.... but thanks for your thoughts, smile, mai
