A new portrit of Minnie, my wondercat :o)

Minnie, my cat - Here's the latest picture of Minnie, sitting on the stairs outside my apartment. Her original name was Minnie the Moocher, as she was a stray. But when I officially adopted her, she was renamed Miss Miniver Whitecheek.

Hi everybuddy! I got Elic, my BFF & helper, to take Minnie outside the other day & get a new (& much better) pic of Miss Miniver Whitecheek. She is blind in her right eye, as you can see, but her left eye's fine (so far). She really is an amazing cat--so demure & well-behaved. She absolutely never makes mistakes, no matter what! And she's addicted to kitty treats, yet still looks fairly slender, I think. She was a stray in my complex, & I kept her (illegally) for at least a year before I managed to get my doctor to talk the managers to waive the $300 pet deposit fee, so I could "make an honest cat out of her." Anyway, so many folks here were sharing pics of their pets, I felt I should join in. Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

She is just as cute as can be. I have some babies that are addicted to kitty treats also. Wonder what they put in them things? Husband told me he had a problem when giving out the treats to some of the kitties the other day. The 2 kittens also now are in on the action. Well that spells trouble because now they are going to want them all the time. Oh boy, those little ones sure are smart. They are only 11 weeks old. I forgot what it is like to have "infants", hee hee! Minnie looks very sweet. I can emphathize with her eye situation as I can only see out of one eye also.

I can too, as I had cataracts on both eyes last year, & couldn't see diddly squat. I hated most being unable to see well enough to read. I crave reading! Minnie used to have her food on a counter, but now has it on a low table. Were I able to get to the floor--my osteoarthritis prevents it--I'd put it even lower! I changed it because--without stereo vision--she got so couldn't judge heights very well, so she couldn't always hit the counter. Plus, I've no idea what her age is, but she might have a bit of trouble if she gets arthritis. I do know she's very susceptible to airborne allergies. Her eyes water terribly during hay fever season, & I just hope they don't itch madly as mine do at such times. I suffer from hay fever, but I can take meds for it, at least. I don't even know if there is medicine for kitty allergies, nor could I afford it if there were! Anyway, you're the first visitor to drop by! Glad you enjoyed the pic! Thank you! It took 3 people to get a pic of your cat? Why? Only takes me to get pics of my animals. lol Glad she's 'legal' now in the manager's eyes.

LOL! Oooookaaaayyyy...ya got me! Except Elic IS my Best Friend Forever AND my helper! A triple threat...so to speak. I'm glad she's legal now, too, as had they known I was violating the rules, I could have been ousted from my apartment immediately! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

"Three people?" No...only Elic took the pic. I couldn't because I must use a walker, & couldn't carry Minnie, & of course, it's Elic's phone, & she knows how to use it (I'm clueless! ). So, only one. What, did I misprint something somewhere? Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

she's a cutie, but she will nip, probably her only bad habit

Yeah. But most of the time the "nips" are painless. More of a "Pay attention! Pet The Cat!" sort of nip. I think it's sort of cute. Of course, after the 3rd time of "petting" her with the vibrating arm rest, she got annoyed enough to make it felt. I read her the riot act about it, so she left. I'll make it up to her later. Kitty treats. You know. Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

When it comes right down to it, all cats are odd...in one way or another. That's one of the reasons I love them so much; I'm an odd bird myself! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

wow, she is really cute... i have to get a better camera to take pictures of my 3 furry giants lol. My cats were born in the wild, but then this one family took them in and started torturing them. My bf got them from that family and they were with us ever since. they are scared of people they don't know, but once they get to know someone, they are the most adorable creatures ever, all they want is hugs. they love snaking on dry fish (i think i have to get them a little more of those)

yes, my little guy, Barron scratched my boyfriend so much when he was getting him that blood was dripping everywhere. he ruined a couch of the people who abused these cuteness, serves them right. Now that same Barron is the sweetest cat in the world. He follows me everywhere around the apartment just to get more hugs and kisses. I can't even imagine why anyone would want to hurt these guys, they are so sweet and adorable, and how funny they are... oh... Barron just came over to ask for more hugs... never mind, he just got up and ran after his brother... lol he is the sweetest, cutest, fluffiest tyrant in the world lol

Most ferals are like that. It takes a lot of love & dedicated patience to win them over. Even then, they're always a bit haunted-looking. But they're so grateful, usually, when they figure out they've "struck it rich," that they more than make up for the attendant tribulations involved in taming them. It's always best to take them in only when you can be assured you have the time & patience to deal with their deeply justified fears. And you have to expect scratches--even some hard bites--& be able to shrug them off. But I promise you, they're worth the effort! Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"

How sad! But you know, Elic's allergic to them as well, yet she has herds of them! She went to an allergist years ago & got treated, so now she has no problem. Right Elic? (You still here?) Yes, I find Minnie adorable, too. I must admit, however, that I find nearly all cats adorable, even when they're chewed up, bent-tailed alley cats! It's just...one look at those gorgeous eyes & cute whiskers, & I'm lost. Too, I'm sure I have "Cat sucker/slave lives here" marked on my front door in invisible cat "ink" so they always find me--& how can I resist those wonderful faces, not to mention the sad cries? "Oh, come on in kitty...please?" Yep. "Sucker." And loving every minute of it. Maggiepie "WHERE'S THE BIRTH CERTIFICATE?"
