Darren Bent recently offended Tottenham chairman Daniel Levy with his comments on twitter which included telling his twitter followers which club he wanted to move to as well as blaming the slow process of his transfer on Spurs. Thrown in were numerous swear words and of course this made the media.
Firstly, I'm surprised that Bent has time to tweet- if I was as rich as he, I certainly wouldn't bother! Secondly, I'm surprised that people follow Darren Bent.. or any individual footballer for that matter! Thirdly, it seems a great way to ensure he does leave the club!
What do you think?

I feel Darren Bent and other players like him have to be wiser. It surprise me how some of them easly get themselves into unnecessary trouble by their uterance and action. I hope Bent has learnt his lesson the hard way. One of the easiest way for a player to put his career in jeopardy is to fall out with the manager. Bent is never a very great player but he has a good rate of converting scoring opportunities. He can mend his way by having a heart to heart discussion with his manager, apologise to him, the club and the fans of his club.

You would probably be surprised about the amount of football players who tweet. They think of themselves as being big celebrities nowadays and this is just another way of them reaching their "fans". He probably knew fine well what he was doing and knew it was going to reach the media- all he is doing is forcing the issue.
