Good afternoon,
i have recently destroyed my acer aspire one 8.9" netbook, so purely out of interest, i took it apart and removed the hard drive. could anyone tell me what type of hard drive connection it has (sata etc.) as i cant find out via any searches and also if it is possible to turn it into a small external hard drive ?
if anyone could help it would be great. thanks
Rob

Hey,
I don't really know how to what type of hard drive it has, sorry about this. Hopefully someone else will be able to answer your question better than I have done, in a really good way so you can actually benefit from it. Make sure you have a good day, Happy Lotting!!

By destroying your netbook, it seems you just bought a very expensive hard drive.
Maybe try to salvage the memory also if possible. You still might be able to use it. What else can you salvage? the battery also and the webcam.

I just tried doing a search on what you wrote here and as you I couldn't find anything on this either. Have you tried going to a local computer place to ask if they know if this can be done? That is what I would probably do. I wouldn't go to like BestBuy or a store like that. I would go to a computer store that has more of the knowledge I am looking for. We have one like that just down the street from us that will answer such questions. So my suggestion is see if there is one near you like that.
