So, I know most crepes are done with a creme cheese filling, but I don't really like cream cheese. So, I do mine with fruit, powdered sugar, and whipped cream. I hadn't made them in about 4 years, and I am not really sure why, because I LOVE them!! So, my daughter and I whipped up a batch, and cut up some fresh strawberries, sprayed on some whipped cream and had a wonderful breakfast! I was raised in a house full of people who could cook, and the talent always seemed to escape me, but I think I did a great job on these, and my kids loved them.

Nutella, it's a chocolate hazelnut spread that my husband loves. I am partial to fruit also and fresh blueberries are always a good bet in our home no matter what the food is.

I will second that Nutella is amazing. But don't limit its use to crepes. It is good on lots of things. In Europe they have Nutella flavored ice cream. We also put blackberries in our crepes. But any fruit works well. I love plain old semi sweet chocolate in mine.

Ours is by the peanut butter. Yes it is good on other things in fact I use it as a filling between cake layers as well, a little expensive for that but so worth it!
Ironically we had a discussion on crepes over the weekend with friends and I heard one I will be trying out. A friend of ours has been making savory ones with Reuben filling. Corned beef, kraut, cheese and dressing. Yum.

That sounds really good. When do I come over for Crepe Day? Each course could be made with a crepe! Tiny ones for an appetizer!

When I used to cook in a hotel. I had the opportunity to make crepes done at the dessert trolley. I roam around the restaurant and ask if the guest would like to have some flambe. I make fresh crepes in front of them and prepare the fruits they like. Then saute the crepes with butter and a dash of brandy. Fire it up using a kitchen lighter. Put it on a desert plate afterwards. Putting some extra whipped cream or ice cream on top or at the side. Voila! Flambe crepes.

I make pankakes as a dessert but also as a main dish. I fill them with an spinach cream and put some tomato paste over them (or white cream with parmesan cheese).
For dessert I like best crepes suzettr. The crepes are folded in four and boiled in an orange juice. At the end you pour some Rhum or something like that, cane sugar and put a match to burn.
