I am thinking of buying a laptop. i was thinking of Toshiba Satellite Laptop, A300-27H. Is this any good? Any advice will be appreciated. And any other good laptops around? Highest price i would pay is £600, no higher than that. Have you got a laptop, if so what do you have?

The Dell Studio 15 with the P7350 (2GHz, 1066MHz FSB, 3MB L2 cache), 4GB RAM, ATI 512MB Radeon HD4570 with Vista Home Premium 64bit... instant discount of £235 with Dell UK e-value code bringing it down to just under £600. Plus, go through a cashback site and get 5% or 7% back... The Toshiba A300-27H comes with the T6400 (2GHz, 800MHz FSB, 2MB L2 cache) with 3GB RAM and ATI 256MB Radeon HD3470... ^_^

My recommendation would be a HP Pavilion DV2 it costs $600, it has great performance, and depending where you buy it you are capable of getting a free windows 7 upgrade when Windows 7 is released on October the 22nd.
Choose wisely :)

I am using a gateway, and it is only the 2nd brand I have ever had. I am more used to compaq's, but after having the gateway, I like it better. I do like HP computers, and that will robably be the next one I will buy. I am going to wait until windows 7 has been out for awhile before I even think about getting a new coputer. I don't want to buy one and then have problems with the os. I wish I had mor eknowledge of laptops, but I am just not that knowledgeable. I know how to install and things, but that is about it. I do like my laptop though as I can take it with me wherever I go. That is the best part. Take care, and happy mylotting.

Currently I'm using a Dell Inspiron 7300. It works fine for me as long as you keep virus protection up at all times. I believe it costs $399 usd. I'm not sure how much that is in Euros(?).
But, If you are looking for the best laptop possible, go with a Dog House System.
You can find them here: www.DogHouseSystems.com
