With the economy at its worst in our generation, how confident are you that you can find a job? What majors or degrees do you think can help someone survive a recession?

The job markets are too risky. The major qualifications required are G, PG also other qualifications that will best suite in the corporate world.

Hi friend,
I am now in my 3rd year of my graduation. I am not afraid of not getting job as I know that recession and boam both are part of a V shaped curve. Now we are in downside and it is coming up now. Till I reach my placement time it is in boam. :)
Now -a - days companies are focusing on specialization. Specialization in hot sector is a major which guarantees job in recession too.
Enjoy mylotting.

I for one, am almost done with my four years in college. This will be my last year in college depending on the current economic crisis. I am studying for a degree in computing. My job choices are very scarce at the moment. Depending on my and my parents wallet along with the banks loans will decide weather or not to go to a PHD or not. IF I decide to continue with college, I think I could easily catch a good job with a software company. I feel that my portfolio is big enough to sign with a good company. But for the time being, I think this programmer will have to be a waiter. My plans also depend on the economy. If we do go stable again (I believe this would involve a word having to do with peaches being enacted upon our current leadership) then I can thrust my body into the job market, like a kid with a swimming pool.
