Did you ever pick up strawberries in the field in person?

maybe you will have the chance to pick them by yourself. It's fun doing that.

Personally I don't like strwberrys, they are not sweet enough and most people don't understand so one friend said you should go pick your own and you will love them so I went to a farm here in Melbourne where you could pick as many as you want and then they weigh them on the way out and you were allowed to eat as many as you wanted while picking, well i still never got a sweet one, so i will just be content to buy strawberry jam, thats nice.

I've only had really sweet ones from the farmers market. And only sometimes. I've found it is when you are allowed to sample them that they are the sweetest. Otherwise, be suspicious!
We grew our own strawberries and they were nasty. Then I learned in school that strawberries at the market were genetically engineered to be sweeter and so the ones we bought were just some natural variety. But I'd rather have them not be so sweet than eat the GMO type.

I have not gone to a field to pick strawberries but some friends of mind have strawberries growing in there yard and they let us have some. I love strawberries with whipped cream on them. I have found some that were not very sweet but I just put a little sugar on them and then eat them.

Yes picking strawberries is wonderful. We have a few farms around here where you can pick your own. I also go apple picking in the fall, which is also relaxing and fun. I have several strawberry plants in pots around my yard. I just picked a few ripe strawberries from my garden today. They were delicious.
