I have problem,my nails grow at a very fast rate.Which means I should cut down my nails once every week.Another problem is that it is very brittle ,it breaks down very easily.
The real problem is I always forget to cut it down.Is there any solution?
Is it normal ?Please offer me advice and your nail problems !

If your nail is brittle, it means you should enrich the calcium. It is said that if your nails grow fast, you must live in clover and seldom do housework. That's not bad I think. Just take care of them and make them look beautiful.:)

I know there is something that you are missing, but I can't think of it right now. I think for brittle nails you need vitamin E - it's also great for your skin too.
I cut mine once a week too. They get too long and they just get in the way for me. I do a lot with my hands so better for me to keep them short then breaking them or bending them backwards (which I used to do all the time before I just gave up on the whole long fingernail thing).

Brittle nails can indeed be a problem, I think you can consult a dermatologist on this, but I don’t think its very abnormal. My nails grow at a fairly regular pace but my problem is that since I do a lot of work, I really cant keep long nails, specially as they tend to chip at the corners. So I trim my nails as often as it is convenient for me.

I trim my nails every other week or earlier especially when I feel that they are already long enough for me. I am just not used to having long nails because I find it hard to function (e.g. typing, texting, etc.). I'm not sure what the "cure" for brittle nails are but I guess you could find some creams or nail hardener nail polish/lacquer in stores like The Beauty Bar or on online stores.

I usually cut my nails once a week. And sometimes I go to a salon for a foot spa and for a manicure and pedicure at the same time. And for your problem I think it is normal for a nail to grow for a week, not unless you nails grows that fast after a day or from cutting it .

I don't pay much attention to my finger nails except to keep them clean. I don't even mind having longer finger nails, well on my right hand anyways, as I play guitar and can use my nails as guitar picks.
But it's a different story for my left hand which is the hand I use to form chords on the strings. I don't notice my finger nails until they get to a certain length, which isn't very long at all.
Once they reach a certain length they stop me from getting a clean sound on my guitar and need to be cut.
I will go through times where I just file the nails on my left hand every day, just a bit to keep them short enough for me to play.
The nails on my right hand sometimes get way to long for a guy so I have to watch them.
I also have thin nails so they become like knives if I don't keep the ends filed.

Every week on Friday. Why I get it trim on Friday? Saturday and Sunday are the two (2) days where I meet with my offline friends for our special online business network. On Saturday our meeting point at Starbucks where we all carry our netbook while surfing each other web sites to look and search for any improvement needed.
On Sunday is a special day meeting with all e-writer friends, beefing up our writing skills through sharing knowledge merely to improve our e-writing skills as well as e-business writing amongst us. This is my little proof; http://simurl.com/eread

My nails are fast growing, just like yours, and I trim it once a week, just to make sure it's good enough. And I used to have very brittle nails. My mom says that I lacks of calcium. So I increase my calcium intake by consuming calcium pills. After 2 months, my nails aren't brittle anymore and it really, really tough.

You should get somebody who live with you to remind you of trimming your nails. i'm a lazy person . When i was unmarried my sisiter would help trim my nails and she is a nurse and couldn't stand my long and "dirty" nails. After i got married my husband will do this for me . In this point i"m really a lucky person.

I trim my nails whenever i think they are getting too long or whenever they start to break. if you want your nails to be stronger then you have to use nail hardener, i use sally hansen.
